We are not professionals, just every day men from coast to coast in Canada who came together online and over social media to create this movement for the second year in a row.
At MenTELL.ca, our mission is to break down barriers and foster open conversations about men’s mental health through awareness. This past month, June 2024 (Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month) has shown us the incredible power of community, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your involvement and support.
Impactful Reach and Engagement
Because of your support, we have made a significant impact. Here is one of the platforms where your engagement has made a difference: Instagram for MenTELL.ca.
In June alone, we achieved remarkable milestones, thanks to you:
- Accounts Reached: 57,963
- Engaged Accounts: 2,800
- Content Shared: 1,200 posts
What Does “Accounts Reached” Mean?
When we say “accounts reached” on Instagram, we mean the number of unique people who have seen our posts or stories. It’s not just a number—it’s a reflection of our message spreading far and wide. Each account reached represents a real person who has been touched by our content.
This exposure on this social media platform (Instagram) means that more individuals are becoming aware of men’s mental health issues, supporting each other, and joining the conversation. It’s a community coming together to make a difference.
Highlighting Our Male Audience
One of the most significant aspects of our progress is how many men we’ve been able to reach and impact. Out of the 58,000 accounts reached, approximately 34,510 were men. This means that nearly 60% of our audience is actively engaging with our content, sharing their stories, and participating in our movement.
Demographic Insights
Our efforts are reaching people across different age groups, with the majority being:
- 35-44 years old: 32.5%
- 25-34 years old: 26.3%
- 45-54 years old: 20.3%
- 18-24 years old: 9.7%
Additionally, our audience consists of 59.5% men and 40.4% women, showing a balanced and inclusive community engaging in our mission.
Why These Metrics Matter
These metrics are not just numbers on just one social media platform (Instagram); they are a testament to the impact we are making together. Each account reached by MenTELL.ca’s Instagram account means another person exposed to the critical message that it’s okay to talk about men’s mental health. Each engagement represents a conversation started, a story shared, or a moment of connection.
A Heartfelt Thank You
None of this would be possible without your continued support. Whether you liked, commented, shared, or simply read our content, you are making a difference. Your participation is crucial in helping us shatter the silence surrounding men’s mental health.
A Big Thanks to Our Ambassadors
A special thank you to all the #MenTELLHealth Ambassadors and MenTELL.ca Community Partners who have been instrumental in spreading our message and engaging with the community. Your dedication and effort have been invaluable in making this movement a success.
Together, we’re creating a space where it’s okay to talk about mental health. Let’s continue this journey, fostering understanding, promoting wellness, and supporting each other every step of the way. Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month is just one month, but the conversations need to happen daily. Speak up, break the stigma, and become the light for someone who may need it.
Thank you for being a part of our growing MenTELL.ca team.
