Quick read: MenTELL observes Men’s Mental Health Week from June 9 to 15, 2026. Manitoba has separately legislated Men’s Mental Health Awareness Week through Bill 217 (The Men’s Mental Health Awareness Week Act), defined as the week before Father’s Day. About 75% of suicide deaths in Canada are men. 67% have never asked for professional help. MenTELL is a Canadian grassroots movement, not a clinic, the bridge between speaking up and getting help.

Men’s Mental Health Week 2026

An invitation to speak honestly, break the silence, and support the men in our lives.

One week. One message. Speak up.

Why Men’s Mental Health Week Matters

The week before Father’s Day gives us a reason to check in, pause, and say something real. Not just about being dads, brothers, coworkers, or sons. About what we carry. About how long we’ve carried it without saying much at all.

In 2023, 44% of Canadian men rated their mental health as fair or poor. Many still feel pressure to push through and stay quiet.

This week is about shifting that as we bring awareness and further conversations surrounding Men’s Mental Health Month in Canada 2026 to break the stigma once and for all.

We support the Canadian Mental Health Association and others across Canada to make space for truth, support, and connection.

What Is MenTELL.ca’s Role in Men’s Mental Health Week

MenTELL.ca is a digital campaign that encourages men to speak up, especially during Men’s Mental Health Month in June. Our work aligns closely with CMHA’s national efforts, and we’re proud to support this year’s campaign focus:

We support CMHA’s long-standing efforts, especially during Mental Health Week, and this 2026’s national theme.

Our work is built on a single idea: speaking up doesn’t need to be dramatic. It can be a few words. It can be a short video. It can be one honest sentence that breaks through silence.

““Unmasking mental health isn’t about fixing anyone. It’s about giving men a safe place to be seen, to speak honestly, and to stop carrying everything alone. That’s what we are here for.””
